Great Lakes Iron Ore Trade Down Nearly 6 Percent in August

CLEVELAND – Shipments of iron ore on the Great Lakes totaled 6 million tons in August, a decrease of 5.9 percent compared to a year ago. However, shipments outperformed the month’s 5-year average by 1.4 percent.
