U.S. Limestone Trade Up in August
CLEVELAND — U.S. shipments of limestone on the Great Lakes totaled 3 million tons in August, a 1.7 percent increase from last year. Limestone cargos were below the month’s 5-year average by 1.5 percent.
Year-to-date, the U.S. Great Lakes limestone trade stands at 13.1 million tons, a 1.9 percent decrease compared to 2025 and 3.6 percent below the month’s 5-year average.
